Leasing Consultant (Multi-Family Property)
Job Summary:
As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for leasing apartments and providing exceptional customer service to residents and prospective tenants. Your role will involve showcasing available units, conducting tours, processing applications, and ensuring the overall satisfaction of residents. Additionally, you will assist with marketing initiatives and maintain accurate records of leasing activities.
Responsibilities:
· Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective tenants via phone, email, or in person visits.
· Showcase available units and conduct property tours, highlighting features and amenities.
· Explain lease terms, rental policies, and community rules to prospective tenants.
· Process rental applications, conduct background checks, and verify income and rental history.
· Prepare and execute lease agreements in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
· Coordinate move-in logistics and conduct new resident orientations.
Customer Service:
· Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective tenants.
· Address resident concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
· Follow up with residents after move-in to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
· Handle resident requests for maintenance or repairs and coordinate with maintenance staff as needed.
Marketing and Outreach:
· Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract new tenants.
· Maintain updated listings on various online platforms and property management software.
· Participate in property tours, open houses, and community events to promote the property.
· Monitor marker trends and competitor activities to adjust marketing strategies accordingly.
Administrative Tasks:
· Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, including rental applications, leases, and move-in/move-out inspections.
· Generate leasing reports and assist in preparing monthly leasing forecasts.
· Assist with lease renewals and rent collection processes.
· Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the property manager.
Qualifications:
· Requires a high school diploma/GED
· 3 years minimum experience preferred
· Computer proficiency, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, Rent Roll, One-Site and RealPage
· Strong leasing experience and excellent customer service skills a MUST!
· Proven closing ratio performance Required.
